Hi, my name is Meike Hatzel and currently I am a PostDoc at the Discrete Math Group (DIMAG) at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Daejeon, South Korea, which is lead by Sang-Il Oum. Before I was a PostDoc at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo, from summer '22 to summer '24, working with Ken-ichi Kawarabayashi.

My main field of research is structure theory on directed graphs but I am also interested in other fields of graph theory. I finished my PhD under the supervision of Stephan Kreutzer at the TU Berlin in 2022, the title if of my thesis is Dualities in graphs and digraphs.

When I am not doing maths, I enjoy skiing, hiking and making music.
